The answer to why photo shoot location is important in independent photography- and filmmaking is understandable. The better the photo shoot location is, the better your film is going to look. Before making a film you probably have an idea of what you would like to portray in your film. That is where location hunting comes into the picture.

A good photo shoot location can make the picture look larger than it is and it can seem like your production has a larger budget than it actually has. What location you choose to use is up to you, but there are several key questions that are good to ask yourself before location hunting such as is this what you as a director envisioned? Will the location work in the script?

Making a storyboard is a perfect way to get an overall picture of what you would like to capture in your film. There is plenty of websites that offer free pictures that can help you visualize and determine potential places for filming or photo shooting. Google maps is also a great option, as it offers street view photos from places all around the world. Another option is to turn to film and photography databases that offers plenty of striking locations.
